Born in 1973 NYC, Patricia Rocha is an emerging visual artist working primarily with medium and large format film photography. She is, for the most part, self-taught and has enjoyed creating in various diverse mediums since her youth. Her areas of concentration include conceptual portraiture and landscape photography.
Biopic in nature, her photographs explore themes related to love, identity, and feminism. Working under the pseudonym Rose, her most recent conceptual portrait series is a raw cathartic documentation of emotions and conflicts experienced during bouts of depression.
Her landscape photography can be defined as minimalist and surreal. The viewer is provided a soothing ethereal escape from today’s paradoxical visually saturated world.
Patti is a juried Associate Artist and Artist Representative at the Bakehouse Art Complex in the Wynwood Arts District. She resides between Miami, FL and Los Angeles, CA.
